Cis Lesbian General: Superhero cosplay edition

Whose your favorite superhero? Would you ever cosplay a superhero? Should nerds be given this much free rein?

This thread has been tailored to fit the AFAB lesbian experience. Please be sure to keep your filters updated for all our sakes! http://pastebin.com/hmZKdbmE

Bisexuals, transgender lesbians, men with questions, and heterosexuals are encouraged to use the other generals (bigen, tlgen, start a new thread on the board, etc.) to keep things organized and in their proper place. Adherence to board rules is appreciated.

I have officially found the most realistic lesbian porn ever! I mean the femme has all her clothes off first the stud cant get the fucking strap on right and its all intense, like its the sounds and everything, hell it even has the stud trying to not cover her face because she is so turned on. (I do that) it has the girls guiding each other any everything. I love it. I mean the screaming can be toned down a little, but a lot of what happens in there actually happens in real life.

that is some very decent strap-on action.
me and my gf haven't done anything with strap-ons yet but we're kinda thinking about it, and since i'm a top i guess i'm looking for advice. do i like practice it or work out certain muscles before ? help a girl out
>>
>>6286057
ok here's the thing about first timers with strapons, its expensive, get the non-latex ones then you have to get Two, not just the one, you have to get a smaller one for when you first start, if your the stud your tolerance for fucking is going to have to go WAY up, or you're going to make the mistake of finishing first. Lube is for those who DONT GET SELF LUBED. if you use lube then you wont really feel it, you have to both be already turned on. I personally usually recommend a two way, that way you are both in the same place sexually and are more likely to come at the same time. If you do in fact decide to get a two way then make sure its a long one, the 24"ers let you do way more stuff and use WAY more positions then the shorter ones, but keep in mind the thinner ones are going to be the ones you are going to have to start with, but then you WILL want a thicker one later. by that time then you WILL need the lube, if your anything like me sex will last days for you NOT "minutes" (unfortunate to have ANY kind of sex that doesn't go for AT LEAST and hour) the more you love each other the longer the sex will be, have all kinds of sex, drink alcohol, smoke weed, get high, fuck in all those instances. trust me your sex life will sky rocket.

I might cosplay as a heroine some day, but not someone too raunchy or that doesn't fit my blonde hair. Supergirl is a bit boring, but I honestly never cared enough about superhero stuff to like any of the heroines. If I could get my girlfriend to pull a Zatana I might consider something to pair.

Why do people ghost? It's a horrible way to deal with people.

Speaking of which, why is the gay community full of horrid people? People with huge issues and aggression and bad communication skills? It's just terrible. I only want to date a woman who is in some sort of science or other rigorous profession these days. I'm sick of dealing with women who have no passions or goals. Toxic women who hide their issues well until they suddenly dump them all on you in one horrid burst.

Why must it be so difficult to find a gay woman who is well put together?

No where near enough information here to properly empathize with you.

I really busy don't know what went on to end up with such a result.

People don't generally ghost on me. They'll stay in touch or I won't really like who they are and what their doing with themselves and I'll make it clear that we just don't mesh and a relationship would not work out.

Words are spectacular as a communication tool. Use them to tell me what really went on and I'll try to help in any way I can.

Do you think it's okay for girls who aren't ready for physical intimacy to use dating apps/sites?

I have zero experience with anything physical. I've just never found someone I wanted to be with. I'm embarrassed to admit it but I don't think I could even kiss someone unless I had strong feelings for them, let alone make out or have sex. (I love cuddling/spooning/etc though, I'm not anti-physical contact or phobic). As much as I would like to go on dates and just have fun like normal people, I feel like that would be inappropriate since I'm like this. Is my feeling correct?
>>
>>6286295
I met a girl recently who was wearing a full huffle puff outfit without the cloak and she looked really good in it. Sadly she was some kind of genderspecial and acted super autistic.
>>
>>6290459

Just accept the special snowflake and label yourself ~Demisexual~ and explain in the first paragraph what that means to you.
>>
>>6290459
Yes. Those apps are for meeting new people and eventually having sex. It's ok if you want to wait like a week or two after your first date but nobody wants to meet someone on there and never have sex.
>>
>>6290408
I have absolutely no clue what you're trying to say
>>
>>6290471
I get what you're saying. The label fits but calling myself demi/asexual would make people assume I must be otherkin too. I'm not into the "uwu everything is valid" crowd which would be 99% of the girls who would stick around.
Tbqh even outside of that... some people need sex like oxygen, some people need it never. I don't think being at one end of the spectrum is important/interesting enough to have its own box.

>>6290475
Cool, thank you!
>>
>>6290566
Sorry I meant no it's not ok.

Someone else suggested using demisexual. This is pretty much the only valid time to do that since it pretty much is a big fat sign saying 'I'm going to blue ovary you'.

You can always just write in your profile that you're new to being intimate but willing to move towards it.
>>
>>6290604
I know, I understood that you meant it's not okay and I agree. I was thanking you for the constructive feedback! :)
That's a fair suggestion but I'm not going to be making any profiles, I just don't think it's fair to other people.
>>
>>6290630
There are probably other people like you though?
I think it's fine just as long as you're honest up front. You don't have to call yourself demisexual, just explain what you've written here. I don't think post people on dating websites are just after sex unless you mean Tinder.
>>
>>6290660
There are others for sure! I don't think everyone is after sex on its own but it's assumed to be part of the package deal of going on dates. I don't feel comfortable disclosing this part of me on a public profile but it's something I am always up front about irl.
Thank you for being nice about this. <3
>>
>>6287843
Because I don't like strap-ons? THAT'S what makes you think I'm not getting enough pussy right now? Not that I'm a regular poster on 4chan, or a complete waifufag, or that I thirstily flirt with every woman who gives me the slightest opening? The dildo thing is what tipped you off.

Anyway, I've had sex with strap-ons before and they're the fucking worst. Fight me.

Both. They both suck in their own ways.

Giving
>No genital stimulation
>Logistically awkward, have to make that penetraty, hip-thrusty movement that doesn't come naturally
>Don't get to feel or taste your gf's pussy, which is the best part

Receiving
>Motherfucker OW. A thousand shades of ow. Nooooo thank you.
>Stimulates all weird. Not as good as mouth/fingers at hitting all the right spots.
>Don't get to actually feel your gf touching your clit/inside you, which is the best part

The. Worst. I can understand people with wider vaginas than mine not having the ow issue, but besides that I don't get why this is even a thing.

Oh yeah. Shit's crazy tight. I have to be good and aroused before I can even do two fingers. Clamp down like crazy when I orgasm, too, fingers beware. It's pretty hot when I masturbate tbqh. It really is a very nice vagina.

>Hot damn I don't wanna say I think I love you but I think I love you.
Do I really need to say it?

>>6290903
Exactly. Which is why every time I've fucked a chick with a strap-on I've wanted it less and less.
>>
>>6290566
>some people need sex like oxygen, some people need it never.

If you're skiddish about intimate contact or need to take things agonizingly slow with a sig.o., that's not insanely uncommon, and it shouldn't keep you from making a profile.

But there's a big difference between one's sex drive once in an intimate relationship vs. out of it. A friend of mine has zero sex drive when not in a deep relationship and takes a week into dating for a first tongue kiss and a month for sex, and goes months or years between relationships, but once the connection happens will maintain a steady average of 6 times/week, at least 1 hour sessions, without a drop in lust, any time any place. It's pretty smutty.

So if you haven't had the experience of an intimate relationship yet, you probably don't know what your true sex drive will be. Get on those websites -- be upfront as people said, but don't prejudge yourself too much.

I made that initial post thinking of course I can't date and more or less looking for confirmation of what I already knew. I really didn't expect to get encouragement to put myself out there anyway. I've only had guys like me and a lot of them were hurt that I couldn't return their feelings and ever bring myself to be sexual with them (this was before I realized I didn't like men entirely). I guess I am still in that mindset of feeling like my boundaries are mean to other people. Reading your post made me seriously tear up. Thank you.

It's reassuring to hear your friend's story! Do you know what made her start dating her SOs/what made them special?

Like I said in another post, I'm not comfortable putting all the details of my libido and sexual boundaries on a public profile. Do you think writing "just looking to get to know people" or something similar is good enough?

What's wrong with the bechdel test? Most men and anti-sjws support it. The only people I've seen actively antagonistic to it are ultra-libertarians saying the free market has spoken regarding women in film and the only way to fight it is for more women to buy tickets, not to pressure film studios (by writing editorials I suppose).
>>
>>6292649
How do they know when it's a woman who buys the ticket? That's ridiculous. I've taken surveys at the theater before, maybe three times in my entire life out of the hundreds of times I've been to the theater. Do all the other times not count now?

I was thinking more in a managerial, directing, or writing capacity, rather than acting, so you can make the decision to point more women in movies.

I understand that there's a very deeply embedded network of people in Hollywood that works to maintain the status quo, but if you're really passionate about film, then you can devote time to going indie and working with a smaller budget. I don't understand why people care about Hollywood anyway. I basically don't watch American TV shows and movies, it's all shit.

I find the romantic drama irritating, mostly, because it seems so unbelievable and contrived. I like it more lately because there's barely any of that, and Iris isn't acting like a prototypical millennial brat for once so I don't hate her when she's all up in Barry's grill.

Hell yes, that;s the best bit.
When they're like "Okay, I guess we can watch a couple episodes..." and they gradually become "Cool, we have a spare couple hours, STARGATE!"

Good feels.
Man I loved that show so much.
I need to rewatch it.

Have fun at work and not being at home talking to the cool kids, I guess.

Dollars to doughnuts they did that because making the lasso look good would have cost too much. Her costume also looked super cheap and didn't even fit right.

Supergirl is basically the WW show (and the Superman show) I always wanted though so it's all good.

>one single criteria

The test is a simple rule of thumb, not about having female characters not be one-dimensional, but having female characters not be ZERO-dimensional, i.e. plot devices or set pieces for the male characters. It's something that, once you give it a moment's thought, is really uncontroversial as an issue.

As already noted, it's establishment bias, which is why it needs to be pointed out repeatedly to people in the industry. The majority of casters, writers, etc. being white males means that they envision the majority of interactions as a reflection of themselves, i.e. with white males. Many authors have talked about having to consciously work against this bias when they create characters, otherwise their cast quickly looks and sounds like slight permutations of themselves.

If someone's annoying about pointing it out, then they're being annoying. But that's not a problem of the test or its cultural importance.

>(and the Superman show)
Given that there is no actual Superman, movies or tv, it wasn't that hard to achieve.

Unless we count Steve Rogers, then we do have someone who at least fits main parts of personality of Superman.

>all those ladies around 5'5
So, optimal height for another woman would be around at least 5'10, like pic related?

That's what I mean. I've always wanted to see a faithful portrayal of Superman on TV or in a movie. None has come anywhere near Supergirl though.

There have been a few characters with the personality traits, but to me it's when you mix that personality with someone on that level of power (basically a demigod) that you can tell the same kinds of interesting stories.

> The majority of casters, writers, etc. being white males means that they envision the majority of interactions as a reflection of themselves, i.e. with white males

This also leads to the situation where even when they do try to work more realistic diversity into things it can come off as unnatural. Because sure they can decide that a character is black or female, but that doesn't mean they understand or know how to write realistically from their perspective.

I think of the Monty Python guys being asked why they almost never had women in their sketches and when they did it was mostly just them in dresses doing weak pastiches of old British ladies. They just shrugged and said they were a bunch of blokes. They had no idea how to write women, especially them being funny.

Yeah, but it's also not realistically constructed. The hilt is far too short for that long of a blade. You'd get rekt if you tried to fight another longsword user with that.
>>
>>6294458
Brienne is so huge it might as well be a short sword
>>
>>6294481
I just looked up the authorized replica, it's too short to be a longsword and seems to be designed around use with a shield. Which is weird
>>
>>6294372

Golden rule of tv/film armor is that main or emotive characters cannot wear helmets, because it either obstructs the view of their facial expressions or makes it hard as hell for the audience to tell who is whom (it's the same reason behind Star Trek's rubber-forehead aliens). That's kinda the only impractical armor bit that's universally acceptable I'd say.

You can of course find historical female-fitted armor from all cultures to see how they dealt with boobage and hippage. Google at your leisure and/or visit your local museum. In short, not much changed in external appearance.

The only difference for women we were taught in Japanese sword drawing (no armor) was that the belt had to secure the sword right on the edge of pelvis, which meant it had to be tied way more precisely and tightly than for men, who had plenty of room for adjustment with their flat hip-to-waist transition. In Japanese fencing, the armor for which is essentially the same style as that in the 18th-19th century, women use the exact same protection on all parts as men. In Western fencing, women (usually) wear plastic boob protectors under the lame.

You will fight topless of course. Tradition must be upheld. I want a weekly spectacle of women dueling.

>"The most intriguing duel ever fought between women, took place in August 1892 in Vaduz, the capitol of Liechtenstein, between Princess Pauline Metternich and the Countess Kielmannsegg. It has gone down in history as the first “emancipated duel” (see the title illustration) because all parties involved, including the principals and seconds were female and because the duelists fought topless. The weapon chosen in the duel was sword. In the third round the princess got a cut on her nose. At the same time as the countess was slightly injured in her arm. The seconds (two other noble ladies) then quickly declared the duel ended and Princess Metternich was declared a victor. The reason why the women came to arms in the first place - they disagreed over the floral arrangements for an upcoming musical exhibition. Interestingly, the confrontation was organized and presided over by the Baroness Lubinska, who had a degree in medicine (a rarity for a woman in those days) and was prepared to treat any wounds incurred. Before the proceedings began, the baroness pointed out that many insignificant injuries in duels often became septic due to strips of clothing being driven into the wound by the point of a sword. To counter this danger she prudently suggested that both parties should fight stripped of any garments above the waist. Since there would be no men present to ogle them...it was simply a way of preventing a duel of first blood from becoming a duel to the death. Certainly, Baroness Lubinska was ahead of her time..."

>>
>>6294495

Yeah, most of them in GoT use one-handed swords (which are still called longswords or broadswords btw -- there's no real consistent naming for Euro swords). Lightweight one-handers (without shields) began displacing two-handers for knights and professionals in the late ME as armor kept improving and tactics shifted to finding small weak points in the armor and thrusting through them. Brienne's weapon (and most others in the show) is of course a much heavier one-hander than would be used for that. On top of all that most of the swordfighting in that show is pretty shitty, whether by realism or by stage fighting standards.

Anyway back to my favorite official ship on whom I am currently binging fanfiction.

I would hypothesize that less armor means less injury. Because you're both aware you're not protected, you're more cautious and vigilant. Wearing a full suit would give you more defense, but also give you the illusion that you can just be reckless and hit harder. Like with football. Early days football had no padding, no nothing. And players were hurt far less. But with the emergence of these big suits they run at each other full force and wind up with serious injuries. By dueling topless you'd at most get a few scratches. Plus your female audience gets boobies.

>became septic due to strips of clothing being driven into the wound

That's actually the entire reason why the ancients fought naked. However, once armor became commonplace, the concern for clothing was lessened, and that wisdom was largely forgotten in Europe (so by the 1st century at least draftees without armor fought clothed).

In Germany and Austria in the last decades of the 19th century, getting in a duel and getting a battle scar was absolutely essential to being a man in society, such that young men would either find any excuse to get into a first-blood duel or find organized duels in a fraternity at university (usually they would wear eye and body protection and only aim for the face to ensure that's wear the scar ended up - Nietzsche did this). So with that culture ubiquitous among the young men, it would make sense that at some point a couple young upper-class women would see fit to join in the fun and duel over a trivial matter in a similar fashion. That's how it would appear to me, anyway.

This is just a reminder to watch womens fencing in the Olympics, and not just sabre (which while the U.S. dominates, is kinda boring to watch). The women tend to have much better form than men -- especially the shorter ones. And personally I think fencing uniforms are sexy.
