I have no experience with UTG. You could just get a buffer kit and magpul CTR from PSA or primaryarms or wherever. that'd put you at about $90

I just got a pair of GI type from Brownells. They seem OK but out-of-the-box they need a follower upgrade.
I'm new to AR's but I suspect that's a normal thing for GI mags, right?

Im trying to keep the price down since this will be my first rifle and I still need ammo and mags. But yeah will I have any trouble with the lower and upper not matching up right? All the parts say milspec so I'd think it should work. Right?
Do I need a mount if I buy an optic or will it come with a mount
