Might have expected as much from a Muslim.
Lets look at what we know.
1. Dispatch had received not just man with a gun call but a man BRANDISHING the gun.
2. The LEOs tackled him. Clearly displayed on the video are the officers having an exchange with the suspect before one tackles him. Suspect seems quite defensive. Why? Is he a "AM I BEING DETAINED" lolbertarian? Likely not. Bet he didn't know who Gary Johnson or Austin Petersen are. What's more likely is that he refused to be patted down after officers had received call he pulled a firearm from his pocket.
Now there are many reasons one might refuse to be patted down. My guess is the gun in his pocket had something to do with it.
So the suspect, being non compliant and possibly armed and dangerous which remember the cops aren't randomly assuming he's armed, they've had a witness claim he was, needs to be searched. Police have plausible cause to believe he has a weapon, they need to continue their investigation especially if he DOES have a weapon. Combative, defensive, and unwilling to comply police decide they need to subdue the man who once more they have reason to believe is armed and a danger to the public.
So they tackle him. In the struggle they're trying to restrain him and next thing you know "gun, he has a gun!" is yelled and officers respond.
Cops are not all racists who just want to kill people. They ARE people. They're citizens just like you or I are.
Put yourself in their shoes, walk through the scenario with what we know, and it becomes pretty obvious why this thug lost his life.

Lethal force isn't justified on shitheads by their past alone. It is justified if they are a threat to you or the people around them at the time lethal force is used. You can't shoot someone, then justify it for transgressions years old or even decades (and no, the most recent ecstasy/marijuana possession does not warrant lethal force).
This does not mean I am saying this shoot was wrong. It might very well be justified but I don't have enough information to decide. I've been stopped by police a grand total of 4 times in 48 years. Two times I got to walk away after the situation deescalated while the other two times I was arrested, but not charged.
The first time for arrest was when I was biking and someone flung their car door open not seeing me coming and I crashed into it. They got out and start pushing me yelling that I'm doing to pay for that. I ended up taking them to the ground and shoving their face into a storm drain so he would stop biting at me. LEOs came, I quickly surrendered, the guy lied out his ass, we where both arrested, all charges on me were dropped and he had to pay for the damage to my bike and the stitches I needed on my elbow and knee. Problem solved by not being a fucking idiot.
Other one was when I was coming out of a restaurant and someone pushed me into a revolving door of the adjacent building. Owners said I was a drunk coming out of the bar and stumbled into it so I was arrested. I followed the directions and did everything they said and within a week and one day in jail all charges were dropped. Problem solved by not being a fucking idiot.

When cops and prosecutors work together every day to secure criminal convictions, it gets difficult for prosecutors to act impartially, because police are largely allergic to any sort of oversight or accountability for their great power. So you have prosecutors who deliberately undercharge cops so they get off easily, overcharge cops so the jury acquits (rather than charge for the actual crime), charge for the WRONG crime (so the judge can throw out the case, this happened very recently where a cop was charged with manslaughter instead of murder), or they can actually do their job and risk their relationship with the cops.
Cops get extremely butthurt when their own are held accountable for their crimes, and can even stonewall prosecutors as punishment for having the gall to think the law applies to cops.
