I've been thinking about what to do with my ARs for a year now. I don't want a cheap optic, but I'm too much of a jew with my money to get a nice one. I've tried foregrips but they're just not for me. A light seems obsolete since I'll be using my handgun for home defense.

Gonna start by getting a real lower for the black one I think. Currently has an 80% poly lower that's janky as hell.

I've got about half a case left of WPA that absolutely refuses to cycle any of my 4 5.56 AR's it's so weak. I've had it a good few years now (mainly cuz I can't even give it away) and the newer stuff is much better, but this shit's weaker than Tulammo by a large margin.
>>
>>30082977
I live in a suburban area, it's plenty bright at night.

It's always been weak, and yeah I tried shaking it on the off chance it was a case that'd sat in a warehouse too long.

Most of the people that "collect" guns don't actually ever really shoot them. And this isn't just autists and fags on 4chan either, fudds and mallninjas do it too.

How many GB auctions or estate sales have had a "NIB never fired" gun produced in the 70's-early 90's?
>>
>>30083064
It's a 1-4x scope designed for semiautos as opposed to bolt actions. Don't bother getting the reflex sight on top for the extra $150, if that's what you're asking.
>>
>>30083053
Ok, yea it's bad shit. Ivan was probably too drunk and dialed the powder throw wrong. I feel for you on that.
>>
>>30083040
I pretty much only reload hunting and match .223. Simply not worth the time to prep all the brass for plinking loads when I blow 300-500 a range trip.

That may very well change if I get the Dillon press-mounted trimmer and the Giraud trimmer. It's loadsa monies (over $700 for both of them for just 1 caliber) but for competition shooting worth it.
>>
>>30083088
Oh I see that it's just railed and they sell it as a package if you want.

Seems better than all the Vortex budget sights my range friends keep recommending. Why that particular mount? Just holds zero better?
>>
>>30083103
it's half the price of anything else in its "class"

$70 for a top-shelf mount. Can't beat it.
>>
>>30083099
Yea, that's exactly why I just got a case of wolf for the weekend. I don't want to reload 1000 rounds when most of that will just be blown through and it still hit's steel easily at 300 yards.
>>
>>30083129
>and still hits steel easily at 300 yards
What size steel? Admittedly it's been a long time since I've tried any steel case ammo (I usually shoot Perfecta or ZQI) but the last time I tried any I couldn't get minute-of-FBI-silhouette at 200m through a rifle capable of 3/4 MOA with handloads or ~1.5 MOA with AE m193

I think so. Having a trust makes it easier to transfer the NFA items to others in the case of inheritance, not that filing for the ATF form that accomplishes the same is difficult, it just keeps more paperwork out of the ATF's hands. When we set up our family trust it was in response to our CLEO at the time being a fudd idiot and thinking SBR's and cans were too dangerous for citizens to use.

That's the problem though.
>they have 3 people total doing stamps
>they're GS-scheduled government employees, you know they slack like mofos and only work 6 hour days
So assume they're doing 20-30 a day, times three people, is 60-90 a day. They get literally thousands of requests a day.

The process was longer because the cans had to be ordered to dealer to get the serial number to file for the stamp. I should've mentioned that. Both rifle cans we own are SiCo Omegas and there was a while were they simply couldn't meet demand and we were waiting for quite a while. That being said, silencers have always taken longer than sbr's/sbs's. E-file made the SBR process relatively painless.

But going back to your proposed Saker, why one of those over the Specwar or Omega? The ASR mounting system seems to be new standard for SiCo, not that Saker support is diminishing at all.

No, you can link it directly to a bank account (which IMO is worse as a direct link like that has zero fraud protection by law) or use it as-is with no external funds linked to it (load it with buttcoin exchanges or prepaid gift cards, some places even have what's basically a Coinstar that feeds directly into Paypal).

And it's a dumb idea for a company that sells controlled items to take payment from a source that offers zero guarantee of age without requiring further proof before shipment (yes I know a kid/felon couldn't actually get a lower or complete gun, but a 7yo could get one shipped to a dealer "on accident" because a 7yo can have his/her own paypal account.

You do realize that the Browe BCO is designed (read: straight up taken back) by one of the guys who designed the ACOG, right? The Browe BCO's MSRP and supposed price is around $1000 or more as well, but nobody buys them so they're constantly on sale for like $600. They're not a bad optic at that price, but they're not ACOGs by any means. I'd love to try one out because they seem cool, but they're just a knockoff.

That's the thing, they do have an office of only 10 people going through NFA applications. It's 30 minutes start to finish to process an NFA application, but it's a small office working through something like half a million applications a year, when in 2000 there were less than 900 NFA applications.

My tin foil says the ATF is sitting on it purposefully to make NFA less attractive to casuals under direction of an administration that's not gun friendly but I base that on absolutely nothing.

So does anyone have any experience with Aero Precision uppers? I am trying to decide between getting a BCM upper without a handguard or one of these uppers from Aero: http://aeroprecisionusa.com/m4e1-556-16-mid-complete-upper.html
Going for a build like pic related. I have a BCI defense lower, a magpul stock and buffer tube and a A2 milspec grip and fire control group, I don't necessarily need a Gucci AR but I'd at least like to not look like a poorfag when I take it to the range

Be aware that the M4E1 upper only works with Aero handguards. They're good handguards, but you're pretty well pigeonholing yourself into a fat (1.8"ID) freefloat keymod or M-Lok for as long as you own the upper.
>>
>>30084428
Ha, the second compliment wasn't from me.
>>
>>30084381

You're not really getting any acceptable variable power glass in that price range. At all.
>>
>>30084451
Are the barrel and upper assemblies themselves decent? I'm okay with having to be somewhat restricted on hand guard choice and figure I can always get a few different uppers down the line as long as I'm not buying junk out of the starting gate.

>>30084467
Yeah they're pretty damn good. IMO the Aero barrels (made by Ballistic Advantage) are some of the best non-match-specific barrels out there.
