Any of ya'll from Boise, ID? I'll be there for a week in June and was wondering of any good places to set up some steel and shoot on the BLM land there. Preferably I don't want to be shot by National Guard training in the area.
If anyone could provide good spots or any roads to take for uninterrupted target shooting on this map, that would be great. Thanks!

Moar slotting floppies?
Dude hit pleasant valley road and go south past the power lines. Take any dirt road once past there and find a backstop. The guard won't shoot you. They are rarely out there. You're more likely to get shot by the other shooters out there. But that doesn't happen either.
I personally go about a mile past the lines then take a right. And follow that road back until I find a free backstop. There's a nice hill over that way with plenty of area to shoot.
Pleasant valley is a popular spot, but there's usually at least one tard who doesn't pay attention to what's beyond his target out there, I don't go out there unless it's late afternoon. George Nourse/Pickle Butte is the Canyon County public range, while it may take a bit to get there it's paved the whole way and well maintained. There are tables at GN but no sun covers so either sunscreen up or bring a canopy. You can easily find GN on google.
Pick up your fuckin trash. People keep leaving shit and they'll eventually shut it off to shooters.
