Got a few announcements to make.
Work on the /k/omic is progressing well, I finally determined which character setting I want to go with- the answer is, both. I'm going to let my ideas run free for a little while, make some 4koma style drafts, and let the artist decide which he wants to make official. I can make a draft in about 15 minutes and there's no obligation for the official artist, so it's functional. This isn't a published production after all, there's no reason I need to be autistic about it.

That being said, I'm still curious about what I want the uniforms to look like, but for now I'll just stick with school uniforms and the like.
The bad news is I'm deciding how I want to tackle my college issues, and I won't be able to write over the weekend, which sucks.
I'm also dumping the hundreds of images I've saved from /ak/ threads onto imgur, the overwhelming majority of which aren't on danbooru because the danbooru mods are cucks. So check that out.

Basically, the format goes as follows:
+Panel 1 - Introduction of setting/characters
+Panel 2 - Development of plot
+Panel 3 - Twist of some new information
+Panel 4 - Conclusion of story
And any extraneous info afterwards in a footnote or something.
Whenever Cromwell or someone posts some of the GuP 4koma, use that as an example.

It's not so much of a hard rule as a gideline. What it means is that a 4koma is not "just 4 panels", it's a little tale in 4 panels.
And even that you can play with. There's a GuP 4koma in 2 panels - one triple size, Ou Taiga full body shot, and last pannel of Saori calling her out for using a large panel instead of three small ones, "4 panels, remember?!"

Yes, though there's a few things you should know before you do so.
1. Idols
I think it started the trend, or at least really pushed it out there. They actually do serve a purpose, even in a scifi show.
2. Tone
Much like Gundam, the different series have different tones to them. A quick Wikipedia skim might let you in on them without spoiling too much.
3. Lore
Don't get too caught up in trying to piece EVERYTHING together, or thinking stuff is unrealistic. What you are seeing is the in-universe equivalent of a 'Made for TV' show or movie.
Otherwise, if you like planes, mechs, and giant Aliums, you'll dig it.
