From my perspective, the protagonist of そして明日の世界より pretty much has the ideal life... this setting is ideal. It's the life I want, so I'm really enjoying this novel. I wouldn't even mind the meteor to be honest. Happy family, tight-knit island community, easy going protagonist liked by everyone... this game is ideal. On EGS it got really high ratings under "キャラを取り巻く世界観が良いゲーム" and I fully agree.

I couldn't really get into SakuUta yet (only at the start of Makoto's route) and postponed it for later, so I can't really say when / if things start properly going, but at least SubaHibi gets to the main meat of the story pretty quickly and it's easier to get hooked into. It's not offensively bad or anything like that and it's not even that long, just different and more lighthearted introduction compared to the rest of the game. You can skip the non-canon twins' routes in that chapter if you want, though they're also extremely short and both have the exact same scenes with the exception of one H-scene and IIRC one very short ending scene. Just play it. It's hard to say anything without spoiling the game, but you won't be disappointed.

Well most likely Yoshitsune's route will be good / interesting because they saved her for the last and she is kind of important, but I'm still expecting nothing from other two, specially from the Margit after. My opinion is that it had a lot of interesting ideas, I even had a notebook while reading it to expand on some ideas, it was definitely fun; but it lacked some emotional impact that I expect from storytelling and it didn't pull me in until several hours in, so it's hard for me to call it either shit or a masterpiece. Its a good game too, but definitely not as good as fureraba. They took out the conversation thing and added a "cell phone messange" instead of it, which is so much cheaper and have almost nothing interesting in itself.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm having problems ever finishing school/SoL games and I sometimes even quit reading for months if I push myself. Even though the setting seems nice, they are all the fucking same.
So my recommendation is, fuck all the school themed games and find something with a good plot. There are some great fantasy/scifi games out there.

You're making a common mistake there. It's not "fuck all school/SOL games", it's "find interesting authors". A good author will make an interesting school game, a bad author will make a boring school game. Not like a fantasy/sci-fi setting will save a boring game just by virtue of being different. Hatsumira is incredibly boring, for instance, despite having this huge fantasy world.
