Gameplay-wise, definitely yes. Total improvement over FE13.
Personally, I'm a shitter who is into characters and comfiness, and it's okay in those aspects. My main issue is that I have to pay $80 minimum for all three routes because of all the cliffhangers and loose threads in my first playthrough.
If you're planning on getting all three routes of the game, make sure to buy the non-Revelations route through the game menu, so you don't pay the full $40 for it. You only need less than 2000 blocks for the 2 additional routes if you purchase them digitally, so I'd buy the first route physically.
