comcast is definitely throttling my connection in some weird way, when i use torrents. I already know that this has been known for awhile. I have not had the chance to discuss it with anyone else yet.

I don't know if this is the place for this kind of thread. Technology Policy thread, I guess? Like whats the deal with a software service provider announcing that the don't do something, and then doing the opposite? Such as saying they don't effect your connection when you are torrenting, but then obviously doing so? ... Seriously it is so obvious that my connection behavior changes slightly (fort the worse) when I have a torrent running. Sites load slower.

Has anyone else had this happen? Does anyone care? Will this thread get deleted? I'd like to hear from people who understand what might be happening to my connection, or people who have had this happen to them. Also what do you think Comcast is trying to succeed at when it does this? Maybe it's super simple, and I'm just unaware of something of little implication.

a/ and v/ and soft h/ pics in return?

If the torrent client uses most of your bandwidth, it's normal, otherwise it's not. You can try using a free VPN to determine whether it's true. I had the same problem on 2 mbit\s ADSL, now I have 60 mbit\s PON and don't even notice anything when the client uses ~16 mbit\s.
