I need a new PSU because my PC keeps freezing when i play games.
My Specs:
http://speccy.piriform.com/results/sjL3qe4N1awASN7GujLAnhz
How is this one ?:
https://www.amazon.de/XILENCE-Performance-XN044-Netzteil-XP600R6/dp/B00OZ0G3TI
>>
>>55617256
you don't need more than 450w for most setups.
>>
>>55617419
My current one has 500 i think but its from a shitty country and it doesnt have the 80+ thing or smthing
>>
>>55617443
freezes must come from somewhere else in the system then, even shitty 500 should have plenty headroom
>>
>>55617459
it's very possible that the PSU is at fault, I had similar issues weeks prior to mine kicking the bucket.
>>55617256
I like evga so I'm going to recommend this one.
https://www.amazon.de/EVGA-Bronze-500B-PC-Netzteil-Watt/dp/B00DZ6R9GE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1468771745&sr=8-1&keywords=evga+500b
>>
>>55617541
Can i use that one with my R9 380 ?
>>
>>55617459
Not if there isn't enough amps on the 12v rail.
>>
>>55617585
yes ofcourse.
>>
>>55617256
I have a Xilence PSU and it's fucking awful. Not the worst I've seen and quality wise it's on par with something like a Corsair CX... the problem however is that you're looking at a 600W PSU for EUR 35,05. It's just not. The wattage is fake.
>>
>>55617755
So should i rather get the EVGA one from >>55617541
?
>>
>>55617541
also isnt 500 watt abit 2 less?
>>
>>55617821
I think a good 500W should be okay. If you are worried get this one instead: https://www.amazon.de/FSP-Fortron-Netzteil-Hersteller-Garantie/dp/B014A0LVEO/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1468774017&sr=1-2&keywords=600W+power+supply

Seems to have great reviews.
>>
>>55618064
Well great reviews doesnt mean its good. Also what about this one ? Cooler Master G450M 450W ATX 2.31 it only has 450 W tho
>>
Americans are so damn dumb when it comes to psu's. Relying on amazon review's when buying the most important part of your computer is a great idea.

http://geizhals.eu/be-quiet-straight-power-10-400w-atx-2-4-e10-400w-bn230-a1165465.html?t=alle&plz=&va=b&vl=de&hloc=at&hloc=de&hloc=pl&hloc=uk&hloc=eu&v=e&togglecountry=set#filterform

you dont need any more.
>>
>>55618162
wew lad, 450W is cutting it close. Recommended PSU for your setup is 500-550

How about the Seasonic S12II-52? EVGA 600b is good too but seems overpriced in europe.
>>
>>55618271
Im not rly expirienced in PSU so is Seasonic a trust worthy Company ?
>>55618201
Also why does he say 400 Watts is enough.
>>
>>55618319
seasonic is one of the best.

>>55618201
400W will not be enough dude.
>>
>>55618344
i think you are right.

name=NDReviews&file=print&reid=185
I think im gonna buy the seasonic one.
Thanks all for your help :9
>>
>>55618376
np. good luck.
>>
>>55618344
>Seasonic one of the best
HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
Oh my god i cant belive it.

>400W will not be enough
Not enough for what? Single GPU plus that CPU wont draw that much power. A 400W PSU can go up to 450W in spikes. Also this Bequiet PSU is one of the best things you can get at the moment.
>>
i dont know who to believe
>>
seasonic is a good brand. get a 500w-550w one, gold rated preferably
>>
>>55618535
The fx 6300 in demanding applications and games can hit 200+ W, even more if overclocked. The r9 380x at full load can reach 300W. The 520W Seasonic PSU is perfect as long as OP doesn't decide to xFire.

That's total system power consumption you dolt.
>>
Get a good brand, you cant risk with PSUs.

Brands that I trust:

Antec
Super Flower
Seasonic
be quiet!
EVGA

As for how many watts, use any PSU calculator you like, there are dozens online.
>>
>>55619142
damn i misread that, you are right. Still think it's a good idea to go for atleast 500W for some overclock headroom.
>>
>>55619305
How many watts would you recommend going over? Like, if your entire rig needed 500W to run, would a 650W power supply be enough? Or should there be more?
>>
>>55619337

Usually the sweet spot with good quality PSUs is 80% load, so a 20% headroom, however note, that the lower % of load the quieter it will be. If you live in Germany I recommend Mindfactory.

Now for you I would recommend over 500W PSU. 450W will do, but you have to know it will probably be loud when on load and you need to check if it has the power pins you need. Personally I am a fan of be quiet psus, their System Power 8 series offer really good value for the money and are quiet.

i'd grab one of these:

http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=426

seasonic g platform, all jap caps, fdb fan, 5 yr warranty. that straight power 10 someone else linked is also good, but uses less durable caps. 400w is fine for your current rig, but it won't be if you ever decide to upgrade your gpu to something that might be more power hungry.

alternately, this is also pretty good for about 10 eurobux less, but i wouldn't go any cheaper:

Supposedly my components will total around 466W, and I was going to use a 760W PSU.

This now sort of seems like overkill.
>>
>>55617797
No, do not get that shit box.
If you get an EVGA get a G2 or a B2. They are superflower platforms and some of the best PSUs on the market.
>>
>>55619549

Don't worry, everybody makes that mistake when choosing PSUs if you are new to this. And it's even a "good" choice to make if you don't have quality brand PSUs in your country and just have shit like LC Power.

When you build a few PCs however you will get realize overkilling it with wattage is pointless.

I mean my GTX 970 + i5 4690K build would be able to be powered by a 400W PSU, but I went with a 600W.

I've got a decent range of options in Canuck land. Thankfully I haven't committed to anything, although I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about getting a PSU from a trusted brand.
>>
>>55619920

yo i took a quick look at canadian prices and i think you'd be well off with the same unit i suggested to op in >>55619490

550w would be fine for you as well but the 650w happens to be cheaper

An AMD FX with a Radeon eats up over 400 watt under load. How is 450 watt enough for anything?
