I can get an X60 right now on Ebay for $90. I can replace the battery with a brand new one for $20-$30. I can then put an SSD in for an additional $40. And in the end I end up with a product with better build quality and more storage space than shitty onboard eMMC.

I just have a surface pro first model with a battery cover. It's still chugging along pretty decently in performance, gets like 8 hours on a charge, and also it's a fucking cintiq basically. probably could get it with the battery cover for like 500 total now.

Like I said, probably ULV Celerons and Pentiums. You can easily get 8 hours of battery life with those CPUs in a $200 11" laptop, I'm sure they can manage 6 or so on a 10+ inch tablet.
