I was thinking about buying a laptop,
something like these thinkpads from /tpg/.
The cheaper it is the better.
Do you guys recommend something else or should I fall for the tpg meme?
Everyone else is falling for the thinkpad meme too, so prices have risen. get something like a Dell latitude.

thinkpads are still cheap as fuck. If the prices have risen, it's almost not noticeable, at least to me. The price of your thinkpad will depend more on your local thinkpad market and the price YOU can get your thinkpad for.

as for thinkpads, you can look at the tpg recommendation list. I'm happy with my t420. as for latitudes, probably the e6420.
