Nah, they just are worse than the GNU equivalents. For example, GNU sort supports--parallel $THREADSwhere as BSD sort does not. Also, compare the syntaxen of shitty BSD sedsed -i '' 's/win/no/g'vs Stallman tier GNU sedsed -i 's/win/yes/g'
