For someone who no longer has the time to keep up with what's best, what's broken, what's a fad, etc... but still has "known how"... I find myself missing the old NewEgg. No one used it but geeks in the early days, so you'd have really good reviews... no 5 star reviews just because it worked, or 1 star reviews just because they accidentally bought an incompatible item. Amazon seems fairly useless for this reason... Where do you go these days when searching for which brands/models of whatever given piece of hardware you should buy?
Pic unrelated.

Where ever is cheapest, or your preferred merchant that does price matching.
Myself I use NCIX.
Better question is where do you guys get Windows. Built a new rig and I have to reinstall Window 7, dling this torrent right now by Team OS that is preactivated and what not. Am I going to be installing a botnet on my new rig bois?

Usually 20 bucks
I go to Fry's and pricematch.
Bestbuy employees get a fixed wage, butt he poor Fry's fellows get commission so I have mercy on the lowly commission employees.

Wherever it's cheapest according to PCpartpicker.
I will buy my parts from a local Micro center as much as I can.
There used to be a tiger direct near me, but it shut down for some reason. Then guys said they are to be avoided regardless.
I might travel to Fry's to check out their selection.
I just don't like shopping online for electronics.

I wouldn't trust a windows 7 torrent, you can download any iso you want directly from Microsoft this way: techjourney.net/windows-7-8-1-10-iso-official-direct-download-links-from-microsoft-tech-bench/
Then activate with Microsoft Toolkit from mydigitallife.info
