Just got all my files off my computer and did a full debian install after figuring it out over two weeks, I'm so fucking happy. Installed 8.1 in a virtual box for unity and it's fucking nonsense how well everything works now that I figured things out. I just hope if I turn off internet access in the virtualbox microshill doesn't try to steal my information or use my computer's resources.
