making a new thread cause I've never seen anything like this before.

Made a copy of my raw itunes mp3's etc onto a portable ssd, probably about 100 gigs of loose audio files in 1 folder, and now it seems like no operating system can open the whole folder without crashing, but there is no damage to the actual files. How do I retrieve them??

Use the Command Prompt or terminal to move half the files to another folder. Repeat until the file manager can process them without crashing.
