So I can land one of the high paying jobs at Facebook, Google, etc. You don't 'need' a degree but almost all businesses expect it. I study to be a software engineer, not a code monkey.

There's also kinds of bullshit criteria. You get shitloads of bonus points based on the age of the school and other points based on 'prestige' (circular logic).
