why in the age of good integrated graphics is /g/ swamped with so many GPU fags?

Because /v/ is leaking. Graphics card threads (expect for maybe the quadros or similar) belong on /v/ and that should be enforced.
I mean if you started threads saying which is better, Xbox or PlayStation it would probably be deleted. Why are graphics cards treated differently is beyond me.

I see the point that you're trying to make. I've got sympathy for that. And while you clearly have some idea of how a GPU is structurally different from a CPU, you don't yet have enough experience to avoid looking foolish on this matter. Do some reading on encryption.
