Apparently this is the way it is supposed to work with DisplayPort.
Power off monitor = complete disconnection from Windows. (With that USB sound effect and all)

Fucks up multi-monitor setups.

A quick google tells me that:

1. Not all monitors have this setting
2. For those that do have it, it doesn't always have and effect to this issue.
