Pokémon Go (stylized as Pokémon GO) is an augmented-reality game developed by Niantic for iOS and Android devices.

I wonder how difficult it would be to port retroshare to mobile?
>>
>>55489753
I fail to see how thats a point.
A dying japanese publisher wants to re-establish themselves as a power house but dont have the money and basic knowledge of everyday samrt phones to make a half descent product. Instead as expected we get a pile of garbage.
Nintendo should just die and sell its assets to a more competent publisher

intel lost billion of dollar every year trying get into mobile market and cancelled their x86 lineup Intel sofia, they even merge with mediatek.

I post here also, faggot.

Hardcore zenfonefag here, but seriously, I saw this coming from a mile away.
Who even cares? Just use a phone with an arm chip.

OP here, I just used my iPhone (I need a data connection anyway).

I'm just surprised this is still a thing.

Feeling a little sad that you fell for the Intel phone meme, OP? Literally like 99%+ of all phones in the wild are ARM-based. Why waste resources developing for a non-existent market?

I doubt a port would be difficult. I can't see any reason why there'd be architecture-specific code in the first place, other than libraries. They probably just didn't want to bother with support.

Is this game any good? I recently started with Ingress
>>
>>55490679
The sole purpose of everything developed by Niantic is to track its users' travels and interactions and then pass them back to Google.
It is owned by Alphabet, but since the split it is no longer governed by Google's terms of service and data privacy policies. The new policies allow it to record absolutely everything you do and do whatever it wants with that information, including selling non-anonymized data to third parties.
By using Ingress or Pokemon GO, you're basically telling Google "you know that thin layer of privacy you guys willingly afford me? I'd like to give that up thanks"

It is not good. It was slapped together to put a publically loved brand name skin over Ingress to better appeal to and track the masses and it's working.

Other than using location data only while the app is open, what non-anonymized data could they be sending? Because using location data is nothing new.
>>
>>55490742
But what would the point of that data be?
>shitty pokemon spawns somewhere near area
>travel to area

I fail yo see any relevant data, care to elaborate?
>>
>>55489791

Niantic, Inc is owned by Google. That company developed Pokemon Go.
>>
android x86 devices are for hobbyists.

any mobile x86 device you see would probably run Windows Phone
>>
>>55490742

This is any different than what is typically seen in mobile apps how?
>>
>>55490781
Niantic is owned by Alphabet

im sorry you bought a zenfone
>>
>>55490804

Oh you're right, forgot about that
>>
>>55490742
oh, I know that, I use my gps to track things on Maps anyway. I have an android phone w/a google account on it, use calendar an gmail, and although I don't use my google account on my browser I'm pretty sure they know I'm the one searching things.

Tracking is a big thing they know where I go at what time and for how long what else i'm I missing?
>>
>>55490679
Ingress is better honestly, and I started ingress because Pokemon go was announced.
>>
>>55490813
They know where you work, where you life, where your friends life, parents basically they know about any location you've been to, if your location data is enabled.

Personally I embraced the botnet. Google is always going to be an advertising company, they will always want to sell you shit. Tinfoil hats aside, all they do is personalizing ads for you.
>>
>>55489712

It was made by an American company.

It has yet to even release in Japan.
>>
>>55490909
They know already if you use an android phone and the same wifi connection your pc has. If you tagged your mom's phone number as "Mom" well..they know. I don't use the whole botnet but some of it is useful, don't care about ads
>>
>>55489850
I feel like an idiot for buying this stupid zenfone 2, it's the worse tech mistake I've ever made. The only positive about this phone was the 64gb internal storage + micro sd card.

The cpu is actually good though, too sad intel was late to the game. Believe it or not the battery life is shit because of the screen.
>>
>>55491000
Mines fine, whatcha bitching bout?
>>
I don't understand the compatability issue.
All they need to do is compile it for x86.

What's this Android Java shit all about? It's the only advantage of Java to have it running on different platforms. If everybody uses the NDK C++ would be the better language for the whole system.
