Is there some simple service that allows to save simple data like some spreadsheet with an API? I am tired of creating databases and node integrations just for some simple shit like saving when I woke up and got to sleep.

Would be great if that service could also graph stuff automatically, but thats optional.

tl;dr: spreadsheet like service, that saves data and maybe graphs it - with nodejs integration.

So I got Cisco AnyConnect in order to be able to connect to my workplace's VPN and work from home, and I want to understand what it does to my internet connection so that I know how much privacy I have when I use it.

When I turn it on, my connection is not reset, my IP address does not change, nothing about my Internet experience changes except that I can connect to the local network addresses at my workplace.

What is the software doing? How does it work? Is all or some of my traffic routed through their network?
>>
>>55492523
Why not just not shit around if youre connected through it or get some other device to access all shady stuff while connected on the main device?
>>
>>55492523
Its a vpn dawg, it tunnels through your current connection to some server that routes everything like you were in a LAN with everyone.
>>
>>55492713
I got Steam running in the background and my friends and I are often openly talking about anime porn and it just doesn't turn off like that.

>>55492735
WhatIsMyIp still says I have the same IP as before I installed the software though. Doesn't that mean my traffic to WhatIsMyIp isn't routed?
>>
>>55492764
>or get some other device to access all shady stuff while connected on the main device?
you don't even own a smartphone or trash laptop?
>>
>>55492786
I have a smartphone. No trash laptop.

Maybe I should get a trash laptop. It seems to be the ideal way of having a hidden anime porn side and keep it outside of my workstation. But that would also mean I can't take it outside even though it's a laptop.
>>
>>55492805
Afaik a virtual machine where your work vpn is working in would work too.
>>
>>55492826
My employer makes a rather graphic intensive multimedia software. A VM is really not ideal in this situation.

>>
>>55492853
Isn't there a way I can tell which traffic is tunnelled and which traffic is not tunnelled?
>>
>>55492874
You would need to find some program that routes only specific parts to the vpn, something like proxifier does for proxies. When do you need the vpn? in specific programs, webrowser only, to access shared storage, ..?
>>
>>55492912
All of it. Even their software connects to some of their local servers.

But like I said, I suspect Cisco AnyConnect already tunnels specific traffic only. I just want to be able to confirm it.
>>
>>55492969
>Your corporate administrator has likely setup the AnyConnect connection to NOT allow split tunneling - i.e., allowing corporate connections to go via the VPN while at the same time allowing local (or Internet) connections to go out via the local connection.
>You can confirm this on your client (when connected) by clicking the "Advanced" link in the AnyConnect client system tray icon and looking at the "Route Details" tab. Seeing 0.0.0.0 as a secured route would indicate that split tunneling is not allowed in your VPN policy.

does this help?
>>
>>55493018
Yeah, it does!

Non-secured routes:
0.0.0.0
Secured routes:
10.120.0.0/20
192.168.3.0/24

Those are just local network addresses.

I guess I'm gold.

I don't even know how Tor relays can exist. Who the fuck is willingly setting up their computers to be relays for child porn? I understand wanting to help Chinese citizens access the internet, but at what cost? My ISP's TOS says I'm responsible for all the traffic that goes through my connection, so if I allowed anyone to use my computer as a relay, I'd be legally liable for whatever they did with it. No thanks.

I found this old logitech quickcam in a pile of junk hidden away in my basement. I looked it up, and the drivers are for XP and Vista, I use 7 and 8.1. I want to use it for monitoring my stairs to play around it. It'd be useful to know if someone is calling me down by just looking. Can I use VirtualBox, run XP and use it that way, or is there a better way?

>>
>>55493422
Just try running it, half the stuff that says is XP only I find half works on windows 7. Might be a tad glitchy, but for what I have done it works well enough. If not then look for better solutions, but start with the easy stuff first.
Just remember where the files are in case you want to uninstall later.
>>
>>55488664
If you're not already doing that, install Linux and use it as a router instead of a consumer-grade hardware router.

It should work without installing any drivers by just plugging it in, but if not check above drivers.

Hey guys, I've been looking around for a VPN service and I saw the one I was going to purchase only "supports" Mac and Windows. I presume this means the software they recommend using to set it up is only available for Mac and Windows or something.

Is this actually a limitation? Do specific VPNs require specific software or can I just install any typical VPN client and make it work? Will I have to shop for my service by supported platform? How does all this shit work?

If it comes to this, is setting up my router to tunnel through a VPN complicated or liable to fail?

Thanks.

This is the kind of shit I mean when I fell my fellow /k/omrades that plenty of 'white niggers' just pretend to be upstanding and respectable, while going out of their way to fuck over the people around them for personal gain.

It's different in every country, in Sweden the one on the contract isn't responsible for what's happening on it.
Not that I would host a TOR node though, it would be still be my door they would come kicking in.

No. Just keep one hand on whatever you'd be connecting the strap to. If you have the strength and motor skills of a typical adult, you need only one hand for placing components.

Pokémon Go is not fun. Even gen 1 is more interesting. The AR just superimposes psuedo-3D animation over whatever is on the camera, it doesn't matter what. It's better to just turn it off to make it easier to flick the ball at it. That's all catching a pokémon entails. Flicking a ball. And it doesn't even make a satisfying ping at the end.
