Hello, /g/. I come here with issues related with Google Chrome that appeared around 3 days ago. Whenever I watch non-Youtube based videos (porn from Vkontakte and Wixvi.com) my whole browser starts lag like hell. I have around 15 tabs open across two windows (two of those tabs have videos paused). When I resume my CPU usage jumps up to around 50%. Video player's frames drop to around 1 frame/2 seconds (most of them are skipped). Note this happened this week. No changes were made to PC. Graphic card drivers are up-to-date (checking daily). I have i5-4460, 8GB of RAM and GTX660. Sometimes it stays normal, at CPU usage being <1%. What to do? Is it something to do with website itself? I noticed Vkontakte changed their design layout lately.

The jobs of modern Chrome.
It's even worse when you have a 3840x2160 display. Chrome can't handle hardware acceleration at all. Legit go to IE11 for videos nowadays.

Won't I miss the superior speed of Chrome?
>>
>>55471385
Nope. IE11 is good unlike the old versions
>>

I noticed in Chrome even browsing non-video web pages it still lags (videos are in different tabs). I'm so used to Chrome though, so much customization and extensions.
>>
>>55471392
have you tried edge? I haven't but wonder if it's go off for videos

Might be, but it's really the best in terms of performance, easy of use and design.

Chrome had bad design for a few years now. It used to be good, but not anymore. I've been using Chrome since version 6, ditched it 2 years ago when Canary disabled extensions I wrote myself(because they are not from store).

Are you running chrome with your GPU or the integrated graphics?
>>
Chromes renders all the tabs. Firefox just the ones you can see
>>

My GTX 660, so not integrated.

I've tried Internet Explorer 11 and it has this outdated design feel. Doesn't look that modern. Anyway, it's not as fast as Chrome in terms of performance, loads pages (news board) and opens links a bit slower.

Switch to Integrated. Otherwise hardware acceleration wont work.
>>
>>55471209
I'm guessing that's because YouTube uses the HTML5 video player while a lot of porn sites still rely on FlashPlayer which sucks?
>>
>>55471738
IE is shit too, dunno how did you fell for this meme.
>>
>>55471765
I don't have this option for some reason. Where is your number "2.", I have number "3." and choosing graphics is not present there.

>>55472015
Might be the case, but why this haven't occured earlier? I've used same websites all the time. It doesn't lag when Youtube video is open or quadrillion tabs with text/images. It does however start to stutter like shit after second tab of video is opened (not Youtube).

>>55472164
Some anon suggested above, why not give a try, haven't used IE since Vista.
>>
>>55472365
Sounds like Flash to me. Does it say Flash when you rightclick on the players on those sites?
>>
>>55472749
It doesn't say anthing. Probably Flash though. But thing is I tried disabling Flash in plugins and still same shit.
>>
>>55471209
install Firefox
>>
>>55471209
use firefox
>>
>>55471454
Firefox was reported to be faster, and opera isn't bloated with ads like chrome. There's no reason to use chrome in 2016. As for design, almost every browser looks like chrome nowadays.
>>
>>55473192
>still has flash installed
>>
>>55472015

Non-flash YouTube could very well be VP8/9, which has no hardware acceleration, instead of H264, which is used by flash and is easily accelerated.
>>
Stop using Chrome.
