Non-techie here,
I'm doing computer spring cleaning. I've put everything to do with my ex (photos, other files) as well as stuff associated with that time in one folder. I just want to put it on an SD card and put it in storage. Obviously I want to password protect it, but it's just an ordinary SD card. I've got Windows 10 Home so no BitLocker (and no I'm not upgrading for this shit).
So to basically protect the whole folder, would a .zip/.7z with a password be enough, or am I gonna have to do some Truecrypt shit? It's very unlikely that anyone would ever lay their hands on the card, (making two copies, one I'll put in my bank safety deposit box, dunno abotu the other yet) - maybe even I won't, maybe in a few years I won't even think the memories are worth anything. But atm they are, so whatever.
