Yeah you see I was asking because I also have the same motherboard and I will be building my pc soon and as I read the manual there was a mention that for optimal performance one should install the GPU in the frist slot as it runs at x16 speed and as for the second that it runs at x8 speed, and shares bandwith with the first slot so if they're both populated the both run at 8x speed.

Flipped the PSU around because PC is now on the floor. Currently waiting on EVGA to launch their gtx 1080 Classified. I wannt it. Their FTW model is reportedly boosting to 2,010mhz out of the box. I'm hoping to get 2.2ghz on the classified model.

Get the NZXT source 210 if you don't care about USB 3.0 on the front of the case. Otherwise the Corsair 200R is also good for the money. Both cases are under $50 usually. And they have actual HDD cages rather than that vertical mounted shit.,

There is a cashback promo right now, for combinations of certain Intel CPU and Asus/MSI/ASrock/Gigabyte mobos. I was planning to buy new PC soon and wanted to ge tGigabyte GA-Z170-HD3 mobo. But does it make sense to take one of those Asus Z170-K or -P mobos instead, since this promo will give me back the difference in price between those? I failed to even spot the important differences between those -K and -P mobos, let alone between mentioned Gigabyte model and Asus ones.
Also, how do I pick right case for new PC? I dont want to spent too much on case alone, max 50$, lower if possible. At the other hand, I dont want to end with case like my current one, no-name with basically zero air flow (which makes my CPU fan gets REALLY loud during hot summer days).

If your case doesn't have any dust filters then yeah, it can get dirty really quick. Mine only gets a small layer of thin dust because the bigger particles get stuck in the filter.
If you do use filters then you shoud check out for any other entrance where the dust could be pouring in.

Having the drives facing out is way more convenient, one of the reasons I chose this case was because I hated trying to fit all the SATA cables and power cables and shit right up against the end of the graphics card.
Tucking all the other cables in the back really helped with temperatures, my last computer was a real goddamn mess of wires everywhere.

The SSD dying meme is just a meme. It would require a crazy amount of writes and rewrites over many years for that to even be a factor and you don't have to worry about a fatal head crash in the event of an accident.
SSDs are ideal for laptops. I will never not use an SSD on a laptop, it is just much more effective, for durability and power consumption.
