I have a choice between a new build based on the FX 8350 or just buying a refurbed Dell 990( i7 2600k). I would put in my Radeon 6850 and 650w power supply and just upgrade the GPU later on the Dell for $400 or go for a fresh build with the FX 8350 and maybe an RX480. Might cost me $700ish though.
If I mainly play Skyrim, TF2 and am looking forward to BF1 will this play them at above 30fps?

You definitely wont play bf1 with the 6850 but if you're gonna upgrade when it comes out go with the i7. The FX 8350 beats the 2600k in cpu score not sure about gaming, maybe look up some benchmarks.

I've checked it out a bit and ,while it lags a bit behind the 8350 for multicore applications, It outperforms it on single core so I think my decision is made but I wanted a little feedback from someone who might have a bit of real world experience with the chips in question.
I could save $100 going with the I5 but fear it would limit me too much.Again, thanks for the assistance.

That "game" doesn't deserve any better.
I have a 8350, and it was a questionable purchase when it was new. Now it's just ridiculous to even consider it.

No matter how you slice it, the 8350 is a bad deal all around. If you're on a budget and you only care about gaming, get the Pentium with a Z97 motherboard and overclock it. Otherwise you can get an i3 or i5 from ebay with any motherboard. Just don't get anything older than an LGA 1150 motherboard.
Get the 8320e. It's $90 at Microcenter and when overclocked it's faster than the 8350.

Buying an FX CPU is retarded. If you're gonna buy an AMD CPU then you should wait for zen.
I recently upgraded from an 8320 clocked to 4.5ghz to a 2600k even at stock speed the 2600k was a huge upgrade, especially in general snappiness, responsiveness and fps while gaymen.
