Has /g/ ever used one of these?
Do they work? Does it cool better than a 5 fan pad?

Get on my level dude. I can OC the shit out of it.

yeah I get the jokes but a good 20 degree drop or something is a big help. I'd probably go pad path myself

sounds like me willy
They're a huge fucking meme. They will only power temps by like 5C at best.
The problem with cooling laptop processors is not the fans but the heatsink itself. It's just too fucking small to pull enough heat away to keep the laptop processor above 2-2.5 GHz under heavy load.
If you really want better CPU performance then build a custom desktop. You can do so for as low as $200 if you use an APU like the A8-7600.
If I zip lock my laptop overnight will it stay cool enough for me to play GTA Online?

Yeah. sadly my desktop which i just built is in storage due to living arrangements. It's not about better performance. I just want lower temps or better cooling period when I do things.s m ostly with a game I play

If the intake part of the fan is on the side it will work.
If it's your exit I have bad news.
But I have used this when I was fixing computers those things are cheaper then original parts and clients dun wanna pay for the expensive fixes.
