I have a 1080P super small TV and a monitor that supports 1080p but its not with HDMI, it's with a thunderbolt to VCA converter.
I wanna just get a monitor that has HDMI instead, so I can play my games and use it for my computer

Does this kind of thing cause lag? I am really into Melee and hate any lag but I tolerate the very small amount of lag that I currently have on my (obviously) not CRT. Will this bump up the lag considerably?
Also what monitor should I get? Something decently sized, and in the 200-400$ range

I used this very cable for my PS3 before I upgraded my monitor. It will work for the Wii too but you'll need a second display with composite in (old school yellow RCA cable) to change the settings on the Wii in order to get the right output working.

I'd keep that cable just to make use of the audio. If your monitor has built in speakers with a 3.5mm jack, you can straight plug it in. If you have separate speakers, Jljust cop a female to female 3.5mm adapter and you're sorted m8
