My bet for Summit Ridge is something like this
$500 top binned chip
2.8ghz base clock on all cores
4ghz turbo on one core
3.7ghz turbo on one CCX
3.3ghz turbo on all cores
Int perf on par with Haswell-E
lower FPU performance
edges out Haswell-E by having higher clocked single CCW for serial throughput and moar coars for well threaded workloads
is neck and neck with $617 6 core Broadwell-E in most workloads sans FPU heavy/vector stuff
Its 8 cores separated into two CCXx with 16 threads, and it has a 95w TDP. They can't work magic, but a clever approach to turbo with fine control over p states will go a long way.
