I admit, nVidia fucked up hard with still not having async support, but it really doesn't matter that much because a 1070 and 1080 are still going to max almost everything for the next two years, and upgrading after two years is pretty much the smartest thing you can do if you're not a NEET that's forced to wait until a low budget price/performance cards comes along, since the resale value for your old card won't be terrible, while it'll be almost worthless a year later

You realize several big vidya titles were ready to make the switch right? For example, Ark Survival Evolved was ready to push DX12 same time last year, but strangely enough Epic Games which has agreements with Nvidia put a hold on all DX12 support for their Unreal Engine even though it was ready. We would have DX12 adoption if Nvidia weren't scum. Even independent devs are using DX12 in titles for fucks sake.
