It's actually 2.1.3. There's a slide style navigation now and the catalogue is modified under options to show more threads within my screenspace.
The only thing I really miss the top and bottom buttons being on screen versus being a menu option in the thread.

It's in the newest version I believe. There's a slide option that enables you to put the thread your on to the side and read the catalogue, then go back to the thread by swiping to the space it occupies.
