As long as you don't run into a dependency-related issue, you should have no problem. You shouldn't have a problem with regards to any of the major ones (xfce, lxde, kde, gnome, unity, mate)

Yes, you'll be able to choose which DE/WM to use in the display manager.

Yes. Install them through apt and then log out. At the greeter screen there is an option to select which DE you want. /sqt/ next time please, this stuff while usually get an answer

If you think this is a stupid question then you have no idea how different KDE is from other DEs. Its apps use completely different libs for file handling and everything. It's not gonna work with other DEs.

Next time shut the fuck up and let knowledgeable people speak, please.
