I'm a big fan of Sharp myself, never had any issues with them.

Basically I was raised by a TV set made by Panasonic. 25 years later it still works flawlessly.

Samsung, bought a HD-ready Samsung tv in 2008, and it's 1080p, instead of the 720p hd ready crap that was sold by every brand back then.
Just bought a Seiki 43inch myself, I heard good things.

Other brands have failed me, Samsung in particular.
Old TVs: Sony and Panasonic.

This. My 47" 1080p TV from 2009 is an LG. I asked the employee at the store which tvs got returned the least and that's what he pointed to. Also have an ultrawide LG freesync monitor for my gaymen.
