After the vote we decided to close the recruitment threads for the next 6 months, at the least.
We allowed the community to vote as we have noticed an increase in collectors; users who just hoard trackers with no intention of using them.
This has nothing to do with us trying to be an elite, top tier tracker. It is simply to reduce the influx of users who do not contribute to the community.

Feral is actually horrible. Wonderful at first: cheap, fast, lots of storage. then they add new people to ur slot. My drive (according to deluge) was brought down to 3GB free, twice. I had a 2TB slot and was 5% over so they decided "hey instead of not adding that 5th user let's delete [not 100GB(5%) but] 200GB of this long time payer's slot". I get the logic: I have a large amount of storage, member for >6 months, very likely to continue onwards, this was in April. Absolutely dick - could have given me a heads up or warning but whatever.
Three weeks ago the cuckage comes into play. Over night they added a user to my slot and my free space went to 1GB. In the account usage chart it shows that I added mysteriously 1TB in a matter of minutes ( I was in the process of removing all my shit from my seedbox too) so from one day to the next I went from 2000GB to 3000GB. of course instead of trying to inquire on the error of what the fuck happened, they delete a >TB from my torrents uploaded directory and a folder called "last seeders" aka my primary upload folder and my folder containing large torrents I was the only seeder on or only one with a seed box seeding. ie the two worst.
After they deleted that TB I'm left with 1TB or half my shit.

Because I never added the "third" TB they added a TB of something to my slot, deleted it, then proceeded to delete half my shit I messaged them via invoice and mike or dan was a dick.
long story short, if you have access to faster internet than you're paying for, get it over a seedbox any day. Only use a seedbox for uploading shit, as in thee uploader. Just seed locally. It's better that way and a hell of a lot safer

Hello. I'm only starting to get into private trackers, and I have a question. Let's pretend that I have downloaded an untouched blu-ray of a film from an open tracker like TPB. Now let's pretend I join a private tracker and I have to improve my ratio. What if this private tracker has that same untouched blu-ray of that same film with that same size, so it is literally the same file. What if I download torrent file, but link it to the existing folder. The file will then go on re-check and will start seeding without downloading anything. So I will be able to start seeding instantly what I already have, without downloading anything. My question is if it is allowed and will not result in a ban.

Yea you have described cross-seeding. It is allowed on most trackers. Look for scene releases with the same name at the end of a file, same folder structure (you can check before you download) and same file sizes (some might be the same but show different because one site might use GiB vs GB). Avoid rared files, hard to avoid when going after scene releases though.

I also have another question. I love collecting films with a quality of untouched blu-ray folder. My favorite films come from 1920s-1960s mostly, usually it is a Criterion blu-ray release. I managed to get some of what I'm looking for from open trackers, but the other half is still in shitty quality. I have several separate hard drives specifically to store high quality films. I'm looking for a final collection of about 8-10 TB. I'm still not in a single private tracker, and only recently learned about them, and willing to try to join them. My question is, what trackers should be my goal, considering what I need? I'm thinking HDB and PTP should be the best for my needs. And another more important question is what would be the best route for me? Where do I start? From what I've read on wiki page What.CD seems to be the best and shortest route, the problem is I'm not interested in music. Of course I can and will, if that's the best route, improve my ratio on What to get to other trackers, but am I going to be asked about my preferences and tastes? Because if that happens it will become obvious I did it only to climb and am not interested in music at all.
