Depends on the language. You can usually just google "online [language] terminal" and find a website that will run any code you input. Programs like codeblocks or visual studio will run certain languages locally. Check out tutorials for them if you're interested

I make all of my proof of concepts and games in it. Its a great sandbox for graphical stuff and is really easy to get the hang of. The tutorials are also pretty great, and it comes with a bunch of example programs
