Man, /g/, I'm about to drop some serious cash to get this HP Elitebook 2740p. I'm in love with the way this thing looks. Square, and bulky.
Is it a wiser choice than getting a Thinkpad?
>HP
Get a CF-19 or the new convertible toughbooks instead.

I like elitebooks more than thinkpads but they won't give you any meme-cred on /g/.

oh, it still is.
When I meant "serious cash", i meant the $100 or so dollars i was going to spend getting the same specs, more or less.

Elitebooks are legit. People who bash them because they're HP have never used an Elitebook, and have only used HP's low end shit.
HP should seriously consider branding Elitebooks under a different name than HP because most people make the same association.

It doesn't really matter, only consumers think like that and I doubt HP is cares about B2C sales for their elitebooks.
