TL;DR: ask /sqt/
Long answer: probably not. all dvd burners have DRM software now, unless your burner is more than 7 years old it will know that the file is illegal by checking MD5 hashes against a master list in its firmware.
You can copy and paste it, but you won't be able to burn a whole new dvd

Wut. Then how does the DVD player know if a new movie is pirated?
>>55259572
the dvd player doesn't know, except for certain sony models that nobody really bought anyway. there's a formatting difference between data dvds and movie dvds, kinda like how sticking a dvd with music on it in a car radio won't let you play the music
it's the dvd burner that checks for piracy.

Then how does the DVD burner know if a new movie is pirated? Are the MD5 hash lists updated constantly?
>>55259673
He's trolling you, stupid faglord. Except Sony shit, Cinavia is very real.
>>55259673
>Are the MD5 hash lists updated constantly?
Yup, via the internet. You either get generic burner drivers from microsoft/apple where the hash list comes from windows shit, or you have manufacturer-specific drivers that still update themselves over the internet.

Was he trolling from the start ? Should I believe any of this?
wut
>>55259488
Yes, just drop the .torrent file onto the DVD and Windows will burn the torrent to the DVD for you, just like any other file.

I wonder how many clueless idiots have burned a single .torrent file to a non-rewritable DVD before
