What do you use to find covert microphones and cameras that they have hidden in your apartment?

SDR?

RTL-SDR are the cheapest for $20
I'm about to order one, hoping to find bugs in my apartment
>>

Pretty easy and cheap, get one of those apps that detects magnetic fields and go around your house with your phone.
If it detects magnetism that isn't coming from one of your home appliances or the electricity lines then you know you're fucked.
>>
>>55254145
Do you know any tutorial for that? (finding bugs)

who do you faggots allow access into your apartments? I don't let too many people over. Just my roommate, and like 2 or 3 of my close friends. I don't even bring women back, I usually try to get them to go to there places. My parents I think have been to my apartment like a handful of times.

They are cheap, and almost any cellphone come with them. Test one them if its works remove the microphone (or pop-it with a needle), also tape camera.

If there were cameras/bugs in your apartment and lets assume you would find them and diapose of them
If 'they' are actively monitoring you, and see that you felt the need to remove the cameras, that would only arouse suspicion and they would place better hidden cameras and monitor your activities more closely

The high frequency, low power magnetic fields generated by data transmissions would be hard to detect even in a lab settings with specialized equipment
If the power supply is AC then simply using a non-magnetic wire and twisting it would make detection impossible

but cameras and mics contain enough magnetic metal to be detected by a phone sensor from at most 1 cm distance (beyond 1 inch it barely detects a penny)
so you would need to carefully examine every centimeter and your most likely find will be a painted over nail (with a camera hidden next it in the magnetic shadow, lel)

>>55257904
well technically correct, but how easy is it to see a spider-eye sized reflection?
>>
>>55254194
basically you have to scan the whole spectrum in NFM (narrow-band FM) or AM modes until you find a suspiciously strong frequency spike. This won't work if they use spread spectrum TX modes.
>>
>>55254508
Pretty much. It's only useful if
1. They're using a frequency your sdr covers
2. They are transmitting while you're looking
3. They're not using spread spectrum to widen their signal way the fuck out and look like noise.

I decided to do some numbers to evaluate 2. 96kbps is plenty good for regular audio for bug usage. 96kbps/(2*2*5.5) to take in to account 8 bit samples being okay, one channel instead of stereo, and being okay with 8kHz sample rate instead of 44.1kHz. That's enough for telephone quality. That comes out to 4.363kbps. So let's say 8kbps just to be conservative.

If the bug is using something with speeds of 54Mbps that bug only has to transmit 0.01446759% of the time. That's 12.5s per week. It's simple to set up such a bug to transmit only when queried. So the attacker can wait until you've left your home and query the bug.

to gain my secrets and manipulate/overpower me

people have spyed on me in the past, friends family strangers etc... its very human we all do it I've caught some and I done my fair share of spying

people generally spy on me not because I'm important but just because it is pleasurable to be so cruel we all know it very well...

A girl I know from high school has been monitoring me for years (yes even now) and there is nothing I can really do about it
she has committed horrible attacks on and I don't deny I didn't deserve the first one or some others as well (I am a very horrible person)

They just like to try to fuck with you and bring pain and humiliation down onto you, or atleast me in my case.

lots of very strange coincidences you better believe it.
even if they weren't working on some actual "conspiracy" everyone (including myself aswell) is always engaged in tens of thousands of unconscious conspiracies at any given moment

my boss has been filming me at work, its no secret because the cameras are very visible but I'm 95% sure he has been recording the audio aswell which is illegal as fuck in my state (I never consented to having any audio recording in any legal forms)

so I know he likes to watch in real-time from his ipad on days when he isn't there (even when his friend uses his office for her cat adoption days when we our business is technically closed(he's a vet)).
>all of us in the office have talked about potential audio spying, IT guy said there was no audio

>look up the type of cameras that are in the office
>they all include mics
>decide to test the waters (we have obviously talked shit about him before but I want to try something drastic)

Long ago I had worked in an office which had strict Internet filters. I tunneled through the firewall over an SSH server running on port 443 (HTTPS) to access IRC. Probably had embarrassing very personal conversations there. Stupid, I know.
Weeks later boss says "we have to talk about the network", but drops the subject.

LMAO you are not living in a spy movie from the 80's, every piece of technology you own has backed in "bugs" audio and visual, NSA and other agencies have full access to all of them.
>>
>>55258740
however this would require a significantly more complex design of the bug, compared to a simple radio transmitter. saving the data can almost only be done digitally since the bug needs to be small, so you need a microcontroller for the bug, which then requires much more power and should be easier to detect.

Having some agency collect data on you and put it on some drive somewhere in the middle of a colossal amount of data from everyone who's in the same exact situation I'm in, has practically no effect on my life whatsoever.

Having someone close to me purposefully spy what I do and say to use it against me in one way or another, actually does have an effect on my life, and could potentially ruin it foerver since it would be someone who's intentions are to act upon their findings.
