Is AM1 getting some love from zen or should I just buy one right now?

I will use it as HTPC + seedbox/homeserver

zen is am4

Am1 was pretty much DOA, it won't be getting any updates.

Iirc there was an athlon 5370 but that's it.

Why not one of those celery boards from newegg instead? Similar price but lower power consumption and better performance.

>celery boards
Do you mean the integrated ones?
Because 5150 + mobo is 60 and the celeron ones are 90
>>
>>55251450
Also, the AM1 have VGA+DVI+HDMI and the other ones have plain HDMI or hdmi+vga
>>
>>55251450
Yep.
Something like the j1900 or whatever is new since its been a while since I checked them out.

AM1 is incredible value for the money, but the celerons aren't bad too. Consider both options, compare prices and stuff.

the j1900 is discontinued and the new ones are expnsive as fuck
>>

J1900 is still a good option.

Isn't it only 6w?

Go away shill

And atom board is better

An apu is even better

Eat a dick. I'm not a shill, dumbass. I'm just pointing out that you're not limited to what it comes with.

I have a 5350 senpai, on 16gbs of ram.

Runs pretty solid, do some light gaming on it in Ubuntu when paired with a real card (r7250).

Make sure you get the Asus board for it as thats the only one that supports overclocking.

I plan on cranking mine up to 2.4-2.6 later this week on an alpine m1 cooler.

Ive had it for about a year entire rig cost me about 400 bucks. Worth it IMO as I had no machine at the time. If you have a solid machine though i'd say wait for Zen. HBM, DDR4 etc etc

Fuck that shit. Atom is garbage and Intel is even moving away from it.

AM1 is awesome. Get the 5370. $45 last I checked at newegg.

I hated the Intel integrated motherboards because of this. Fucking AMD gave us 4 lanes from the SoC.
