I've set a few up for older family friends. They're absolutely PERFECT for someone who's not really technical: basically, 90% of the population. They'd be fine even for nerds so long as you accept what its meant to do and not do.

Don't. I got an HP chromebook and it was the worst experience of my life. It's literally just the chrome browser that can run less apps than windows phones can.
