For me it's a combination of a few things. It puts me in a completely different mindset when shooting. Every shot is valuable and it forces me to think harder about whether or not I have it right
I also particularly enjoy that if I'm going to take a series of images around the same time I can pick the right film for the situation and not really muss about with processing that much and stick to a more cohesive style
Also there's very few digital cameras that are that small and fast. I don't have to worry about battery life or boot up time and the focus throw is so short and it's a rangefinder so once you get the hang of focusing it it's just a very quick camera
I really just wanted something that I could carry with me all the time to capture things to practice photography when I'd otherwise not be able to while still restricting myself enough so I don't go overboard
Like I said before though I wish I had a GR as it's just a better solution for other situations since it has even closer to the focal length I want and it has far more technical control
But at the end of the day that XA only cost me 15 dollars and even if a lot of the time it's a fun novelty I've carried it enough and learned enough from using it that I'll probably always carry a compact of some sort

It's perfectly functional for me, there's not a bunch of useless zippers and pockets and it manages to fit a surprising amount of stuff in a pretty small backpack because it's rectangular and doesn't have any bullshit besides a single large main compartment.
Also it's pretty high quality, mine is the nicer one made of the fabric Fjallraven uses in their excellent jackets and stuff. The cheaper ones that don't have the leather details on them are made of a shitty thin nylon or something.

Being about the same size as a key, it's not any more annoying than any other keychain. I generally keep my keys in a chest pocket along with my card holder if I'm not wearing my blazer. With my blazer, the keys go in its left inner chest pocket along with the pack of Läkerol, and my phone goes on the right side. I try to avoid using pants pockets when I can.

Quality is pretty identical, to be honest. As I mostly use them on the move, I really can't hear the difference between wired and wireless. There's an extremely low static hiss when using BT, but it's so low that it only becomes apparent when nothing is playing.
Overall they're pretty great. Plastic construction that is surprisingly durable, sound is pretty nice and balanced, battery life is extremely good (Sony claims 17 hours, which really isn't a joke) and they're light and comfy to use.

apparently, .40 s&w performs better out of a 2" barrel than .357 magnum so i don't mind it that much. the 4" one i would obviously prefer to have in .357, but not bad enough to pay an extra $200-300 dollars.
