£221.32 without tax is £184.43 - the 8GB cards have an MSRP of 229USD (200 for 4GB) so £184.43 into USD is $271.62. The price seems to include delivery so it's a little expensive but I think it's justifiable considering there's no other card in the price range.

You may aswell just buy it OP, or ask them for a discount?

UK Prices always include tax, USA ones don't have to.

So comparing USA prices to UK prices never works.

Once you add in import tax and any other dumb costs UK people will always be paying more no matter what.
>>
>>55205870
Since it's alreasy posted that the 8Gb is 249 Euros on another site then yeah seems kosher. It's about what I expected. Th cost of hardware in the UK is usually a direct conversion from US to GB once VAT and other shit is added on. Go look at any GPU slightly older than the 1080/1070 on amazon.co.uk and then compare to the US site.

8GB version sells for about 230 USD.

Thats 156 pound + 20% = 187 UK. Price on site is 217 uk. So thats 217/187 = 16% mark up. Either due to limited supplies or if its an aftermarket OC tax or both.

If the 8GB is 250, then its 170 pound + 20% 204 UK. 217/204 = 6% markup. Most likley its the former with 16% markup over VAT.

The RX480 was announced to span the entire $199-$299 price range. That's in US dollars purchased from a US retailer. This doesn't need to be stated specifically as it should be obvious since AMD is an American company and gave the MSRP in Ameribucks.

If you didn't do the math to convert their MSRP to whatever mongrel currency you use while also not accounting for your unfortunate country's economically backwards VAT then that's you're own fucking fault. The fact that you are incredulous at these prices just shows how much of a newfag you are.

No I didn't. I complained about final consumer prices, that is, 250€/300€. Specially because that is a unified price for Europe, completely disregarding differences in economies.
If I were to complain about differences in prices between regions I'd complain about me having to pay the same as a Swede.

4gb was supposed to come for 200$. Thats equal to 226 EUR. Slap Vat, say, 20% and you get 270 EUR. EUR/USD is 1,13 right now.

At the same time, if I would import from US, in case of my country, it would be exchange rate x 23% VAT plus shipment, thats 984 PLN - 213 EUR.

I dont get something here.

Niggers keep going on about performance instead of what you are actually paying for a low power, mid range performance card. We don't care if it does not beat your $400+ cards as long as it comes close for a much lower price and lower power consumption. Comparing it to 28nm architecture is retarded. Comparing it to current 'low stock and high priced' Nvidia cards is retarded.

Ive never had such a tough choice picking a graphics card.

I want to upgrade to 1440p. In a year or 2 a single 1070 wont be able to handle 1440p with desirable FPS. I could get two 1070s since they perform better than a single 1080 in 1440p, but SLI still isn't supported all that well, and its still buggy. I could get a single 1070 and sell it when the 1080ti comes out, but in all honesty the 1080ti will probably be $800-$900 and probably wont be all that much better than the 1080. I really dont want an RX480 because theyll be shit come this time next year.
>>
>>55217912
Get the 1070 and I say that as someone who's getting a 480. 1440p is critical for the 480 but probably manageable with oc. 120hz 1080p or 60hz 1440p is what the 480 should handle (not maxed out though), anyway which of the current AA games do you want to play?
