I'm an Intel + Nvidia guy, but AMD is really good for budget builds, both cpu and gpu, they just stomp the competition for low budgeters.

This. X4 845 is a great "poor man's i5", and FX-8320e is more than half of an i7 for less than half the price.
If only the platform wasn't already outdated I'd strongly recommend it for all sub-$600 builds. But as it is only used parts make sense.

That's what my 13 year old cousin did. Worked out great. He plays cs go, battlefield 4, GTA 5, and he's going to buy Doom soon.
Also won't he see some impressive gains in dx12 multiadapter?
