What is the general consensus on mice?
What do you use and do you like it?
I use a g100s and it's okay, I'd like to upgrade soon though.

Its 2016. Literally any mouse works. Inputphiles are only slightly better than audiophiles.
>>55179218
I've come to the sudden realization that this is true to some degree and have been wasting my time scrolling through specs for no reason.... thanks.
>>55178883
If you don't use claw grip, it's time to learn it.
>>55178883
I use kind of a mix between the palm and and claw grip. My hand is arched like the palm grip but the amount of contact is the same as the claw grip.

>Literally any drink can quench thirst
Why do we waste our time and money on frivolous amenities?
> using a mouse in 2016
>>55178883
I've always used a fingertip grip.
Unfortunately, this limits my choice of mouse to the cheaper and lighter end of the spectrum. Rockin' a cheap razor mouse arm. I just can't use those fancier, heavyish mice.
Palm grip master race.
Steelseries rival 300 and fingertip grip here. So damn comfy

this
I used to think I had a claw grip, until I really took a good look at how I actually used mice and what mice I used
Now everything is keyboard driven on my Debian install, feels good man

Because capitalism
Generally fingertip but sometimes palm sine the Kone XTD is so damn comfy
>>55178883
They're all shit.
>>55178883
I think my grip style (something like fingertip) is exacerbating injury for me.
I can force myself to use palm but the feel of it is just so horrible.
>GOD TIER MOUSE
the one i got for free
>SHIT TIER GARBAGE MOUSE
the one you chose on your free will and paid for
Fingertip is the patrician grip
Palmfaggots can suck dick

I have a feeling you own an Abyssus, and that your left mouse button will die a slow death.
Used to palm grip until the fucking g602 rubber started smelling like shit

Meh, I use a dell mouse (rebranded razer) and a Verbatim ~$15 laser mouse. Both work well. As for position I'm fingertip grip, my hands are too big for most mice.

Impossiburu.
What do you use and do you like it?
Finger-Tip grip with comfy arm rest and a nice little mouse with rubber sides.
Someday I will master the memes of mouse modding and finally be happy.
>>55178883
things that matter are
>do you like the feeling of the mouse in your hand
>do you need makro keys
thats it , no one care about dpi or what kind of teflon thing is on the bottom, just don't buy 5dollar mouses
just bought a razer naga chroma wire/less. feel like retiring my razer naga molten. Wanted the same thing but wireless. Used this one for 5 years with no problems. hopefully the same comes from this one.
>inb4 Razer
it werks

What kind of retard thought that would be a good-looking design?
It looks like it's been thrown against the floor several times what the fuck.

They use either a USB dongle or bluetooth. They all just werk.

Any mice like the G300s where buttons 3 and 4 are on the topside?
My G300s just shat itself.

Ok let's pick a current mouse like the MX Master:
>125hz mouse polling rate on a 144hz+ monitor has no effect
>1600 max DPI makes no difference between a 1080p and 2160p monitor
>Requiring a user to download software/drivers is the same as using a plug-and-play peripheral
>Software interface should have no value but mouse ergonomics do
I could go on but this is clearly ridiculous contrarianism. Picking a mouse hasn't been that simple as you suggest for a long time. Mouse hardware/software has been competitive for years.

kek that's what people that have been on a shitty generic mouse all their life say
my imperator died(great mouse but shite quality)
and going from that to some wireless logitech is fucking horrible
I have a first edition Razer Mamba, which I bought when my (very reliable) Razer Copperhead finally died.
I do like the button placements (a personal thing) and the ability to adjust the DPI on the fly if I need finer work.
However I would not recommend it, at all. Its firmware is a bit unstable sometimes, if one of my (very long) hairs gets between the mouse and the mousepad it entirely loses tracking, and I haven't been able to use it wirelessly for about two years because it has the battery life of a dead mosquito.
Somewhere along the line Razer went from "actually quite good gamershit" to "shit tier gamershit", and I lament that I didn't notice.
Still using it for now; it works. I have no idea what I'd replace it with when it breaks. I have small hands and some of those mice look really uncomfortable.

kek, still using a 1.1se that i bought for $20 ten years ago.
>>55191444

Maybe if your sweat is made of acid. The coating on my mouse is going on 4 years without notable wear.
>>55193597
>Maybe if your sweat is made of acid
Isn't it?
>Sweat is mostly water. Dissolved in the water are trace amounts of minerals, lactic acid, and urea.
>trace amounts of lactic acid
I know you don't know this, but the reason elevator buttons are embossed is because of the acidity of sweat.

I am using this mouse. For 7 dollars I'm pretty happy with it. Also I change between fingertip and palm grip, depending how my hand is feeling.
>>55179770
Steelseries xai fingertip grip. Got me to top 300 world wide in sc2. Master grip.
>>55193839
Also, who has small enough hands for a comfortable palm grip. Are ya'll ladies?
I use a mouse from a chink company named r-horse. It has a breathing light effect and I think that's just comfy.
If you must use a mouse, you might as well use one that won't cripple you.
