Look at the 980ti, nvidia completely made their 900 series obsolete and introduced more anti competitive technology. The fury x actually now beats the 980ti in pretty much everything except m'uh gameworks titles

In Witcher 3 my Fury X sucked shit even at 1440p, which should be a no brainer for a card advertised for 4K gaming
The fact is it's still slower than the ti in key games
Also it had zero OC headroom despite great cooling
Oh and the squeal and EMI coming from my sample was so fucking bad that I had to move my sound card to the bottom most slot AND EVEN THEN I heard electric buzz in my headphones under 100% load

Gonna have to call BS, I have a Fury non-X and it gets 60fps at 1440p with all settings except hairworks at maximum. There are certain situations at which it drops into the 50s (though equally some where it rises into the 70s) but I don't notice dips like I used to due to adaptive sync.
Do you have very high standards? Do you expect 144 fps or something?

When you OC it it's significantly better than a 1070. Even the 1080 has trouble standing up to a well-binned 980ti, at least in synthetics. Of course Nvidia will fuck the drivers and the 980ti will fall off more and more, but that's how it goes.
