Why? You now have all the problems that come with the classical charging port. Breakage, reduced ease of use, and the potential for the cable being tripped over to transport your laptop to a hard floor.

Because they clearly did it just to look good. Apple is all about design and marketing. And it works because every single company is copying them, LG, HP, Samsung, etc.
They are setting the tone for future, this is where Apple believes laptops are converging to in a few years.
I heard nothing but good reviews regrading the performance of this notebook and for most people that only need to do web browsing or document typing this is more than enough. Yes it is still very limited compared to a normal ultrabook but to be fair, once processing power on those intels goes up a bit its going to be more than acceptable to have on of those as your main machine.

Am I the only one who primarily doesn't like Apple products because their shit looks gay? I mean seriously that laptop looks incredibly feminine and yet somehow boyish at the same time, like a trap, but you should actually feel gay for liking the way it looks.

- it's very light
- battery life is good. last abt 10 hrs+
- the screen is good. once u go retina...
- built in speaker is surprisingly good. better than my thick alienware 15
- the keyboard is bearable after a while
- touchpad is really good. force touch works.
- 16:10 screen. fuck i HATE 16:9 screens with a passion
- it doesn't feel that slow, probably because of the ssd.
bad:
- totally non serviceable, non upgradeable throwaway if obsolete thing.
- single usb-c port changes your habit so you rarely connect to ethernet, thumbdrives, sd cards.. mouse
- expensive
- probably makes me looks gay.

think about how deep the USB C port is anon. for magsafe to work the port must be fairly shallow so it can easily be removed, the magnet is what holds the connector into the port, not the design of the port itself
