Beyond the dishonesty, what's the fuckin difference?
Are all of you this fucking autistic about it?

its still an alarming practice regardless, and who knows how deep this goes and for how long it has been going on without anyone noticing?

How new? This circle jerk has been happening for years. Reviews say yes, shill for company ABC, and receive free goods... it's not hard to imagine this scenario.
If you don't bend over for these companies, and give objective reviews, then you'll be paying for the hardware yourself, and be waiting like every other consumer.

At least its something that a major website is coming forward with it.

Well of course an OEM is going to send out their top quality cards for review, these top binned chips will undoubtedly be the premium priced editions they'll sell alongside the stock models.
Is there any real noticeable performance difference? I'm betting no.
If review sites wanted to be a better service to their readers, they'd buy retail cards themselves and review those, rather than depend on handouts from the manufacturers.

the difference is that the 1 or 0.5 fps higher will result in higher position on test sites, and mindless people like you will then buy an aftermarket GPU thinking it's the fastest one.
