Halt and Catch Fire was like a low budget Mad Men made by people who were not even born in the 80s and make everything in that show look like it was in the 1950s so it looks historical. Technology was all wrong, there was no internet or large scale personal computer software industry in the 80s.

That has been my biggest question after watching season 1.
So far, we know that se is a hacker affiliated with the Dark Army.
She has an obsession with time management, she trolls elliot who was not worth more than 3 minutes of her time.
At the final minutes of the season finale we see her dressed as a man having a discussion with Price, she wants to discusss the Coltan mines but Price is having a lot on his mind at that moment and prefers to enjoy the music since they have plenty of other stuff on their agenda.

Price says he knows the person responsible and that WE will handle that person as they usually do.
What are your theories about her and what kind of role do you think she will play in season 2.

BUT getting past that, Halt and Catch Fire has complex, realistic characters, better actors, and a fresher plot. Mr Robot is Fight Club rewritten for 2015, but without Palahniuk's humour. Why waste your time with derivative trash?
And now, and I can't believe this is necessary, I have to point out that it's dumb to make your primary criticism of fictional content that it isn't true enough to reality. As if Mr Robot does any better in that regard...
Mr Robot is a heavily overrated show because it examines hacker culture, which seems mysterious and has been romanticized by normies. Perhaps the second season will improve, but I'm failing to see how the train wreck that was the first season can be salvaged in any meaningful way. Although, when you choose a plot point as contrived as a main character that has split personalities and cannot distinguish reality from imagination, the sky is really the limit. It's lazy and should never be used in long-term story telling, at least in the main character.
