You forgot to mention that ZFS is a legal landmine.
In 2009, Apple was really close to signing a deal with Sun to let them use ZFS on MacOS free from the dangers of the CDDL. Sadly Jobs died and sun swallowed by Oracle. This is why they're undertaking the daunting task of developing their own filesystem.
Linux also had to develop their own ZFS.
On the other hand, FreeBSD embraced ZFS fully. There is a non negligible chance that Oracle's legal team will crush them for that.
My hope is that Dfly's HAMMER will be ported to other OSes once it becomes production ready.

I'm quite hyped for APFS, HFS+ is ancient as fuck.

No.

This.
Hope they do it well.

HAMMER ported on OpenBSD is actually a thing.
>>55096427
Unless you hit 85% of use. Then it becomes a reality
>>55096462
Know of any ongoing efforts for a Linux port?

Freenas is great and memory is cheap. You really want to see it eat memory turn on de-duplication.
Being 100% protected against bit rot is fantastic.
>>55096498
That guidelines is only if you're using deduplication.

Ironically Gentoo doesn't use systemd
