Serious question /g/, and dont bamboozle me on this.

Is this site safe to use if you use windows 10?

Thanks to anyone who gives a serious answer instead of trolling.

No, because if you're stupid enough to use Win10, you're stupid enough to download some ransomware shit from it.

Not trolling.

The trolls are evolving. They've learned to say "not trolling" in a vain bid give their shitposting some legitimacy.

Pilates away, OP.

Claiming you're not trolling is against the trolling code of conduct

Nothings safe to use if you use Windows 10

Nothing is safe to use if you use Windows 10. You're browsing on top of government and corporate mystery black box software nobody but your enemy have ever had access to. If you wish to engage in behaviour you believe may attract the ire of the people who put your system together, you do so at the probable risk that activity will be recorded and retained until they see fit to use it against you.

I use Deluge. It's a pretty good client because it's simple, usable and works on multiple platforms.

Tixati's also good, but it's proprietary.

Not right away, but it'll no doubt be monitored and recorded.
Idiot

It isn't. I pirated a game on it and I saw cops driving by for 1 straight hour.

If you're using a always on server for torrenting, get deluge because of plugins and easy automation compatibility.

If you're on a personal computer, use transmission.

Windows 10 has nothing to do with it, your choice of OS doesn't make the site more or less safe.

Better questions:
>Is TPB a safe site?
No. It knowingly serves malicious advertisements. Provided you use an adblocker/noscript, though, it's probably safe enough if you aren't completely stupid. I'm not aware of any less nasty public torrent indexes.

>Is torrenting directly on my home connection a safe activity?
Depends on your country, but probably no.

>Is torrenting while sending my traffic through a VPN service a safe activity?
Generally yes, but keep in mind that most setups route all your other traffic through the VPN too. This is unsafe unless you trust the VPN.

>Is torrenting to a seedbox and downloading from there a safe activity?
Generally yes, and in my opinion this is the way to go if you want to pirate your media.

Microsoft doesn't care about your thievery, neither does your ISP. Unless you're torrenting kiddy porn or ISIS documents, you're safe.

Site itself yes, public torrents on the other hand...

Yes-yes-yes, the Deluge daemon mode is incredibly useful for seedboxes. And it can be controlled via the CLI, in addition to connecting remotely via the GUI.

Transmission is my 2nd choice of BT client, since it also has a really nice interface, and a daemon mode. I use it on the Mac, but otherwise I use Deluge on Windows and Linux.
