Well, I don't play games a lot but that project could be successful and they can endorse VR more because consumers don't like a lot of choice and M$ will just put a "VR ready" sticker on it. It might be interesting because if I'm not mistaken only PCs can run VR at the moment and consoles need to catch up in terms of graphics power for any serious VR gaming that can be compared to current VR.
But I don't follow VR/console news so I might be wrong.
What GPU chip will be used for this?

Project Scorpio is a huge misrepresentation.
Microsoft made it look like they're just gonna release an Xbox One 2 and it will cost about the same while delivering the equivalent of a i7+Nvidia 1080. Which is obvious bullshit.
So there are 2 possibilities.
1. It's just a lie and it won't run shit near 4k/VR.
2. It's some 1000$ VR solution from Microsoft like SonyVR+Playstation or Occulus/Vive + a PC.
